MOTHERHOOD KNOWS NO LIMITS!

Every woman has a unique testimony, and each story feels like a redefinition of God all over again. To some, He gave the gift of motherhood through birth, through adoption and to others through bonds forged in love. Motherhood knows no limits!
The only similarity in our stories is God’s faithfulness to all of us. Somehow through the labor pains, the barrenness, miscarriages, stillbirths, maternal and infant mortalities, adoptions, and caesarian sections, women still wake up and testify that God is good and faithful.
Up to this day, I have no idea what natural labor pains are. I had a different experience. The night before my C-section delivery, I had to go through the torture of hearing the agonizing screams of my peers in labor. Thoughts of whether I was going to walk the same road as theirs flooded my mind, to becoming another maternal mortality statistic.
The anxiety was exhausting and so I decided to stop bothering myself about how things were going to turn out. I knew that God had a plan for me, but I guess the greatest question was whether I was going to trust Him to do what’s best for me and accept His plans for me or not.
The bible tells us about how God has been faithful to different women over the years. The ,following women had different stories but God attended to their points of need and gave them what they longed for. He accorded them what they prayed for in His time and His own way.
following women had different stories, given that an older man, but instead of being grateful,
Sarah conceived for the first time at 90 years and gave birth to Isaac. Biologically, it is an impossible feat but God made it possible because Sarah’s time had come. Isaac grew up to be a blessing and lived according to God’s law.
In another case, Jochebed, Moses’ mother, gave birth in difficult circumstances. Pharaoh wanted all newly born Israelite males killed upon birth as he saw the Israelites as a threat to his rulership. However, Jochebed decided to protect her son from the rampaging Pharaoh and God came through for her. He protected Moses from the evil king. Pharaoh’s daughter found Moses, adopted and raised him as her own and I believe that was God’s plan for his life.
Amazingly, God made a way for Jochebed to be reunited with her son as she was hired to be his nanny. Both Jochebed and Pharaoh’s daughter became mothers to the same child. Moses grew up to be God’s prophet and he was instrumental in leading the Israelites out of the Egyptian bondage to the land of Canaan.
God’s power was also seen in the story of Elizabeth and Zechariah. These two were old and childless when the angel of the Lord appeared to Zechariah, telling him that his wife was going to bear him a son. Zechariah doubted the prophecy because he knew that it was biologically impossible since he was now an old man. Similarly, God has opened up opportunities for us so many times to make our stories better but instead of being grateful we doubt that his hand has finally delivered us.
For doubting the word of God, the Lord struck Zechariah with dumbness for nine months. His speech was restored upon the birth of John, his son. John was given the moniker; “John the Baptist,” the forerunner to the Messiah’s coming.
One of the major lessons from these stories is that God works differently with different people. His wisdom is undoubted. He is fully cognisant of what is good for every one and treats each situation with the uniqueness it deserves.
If by any chance you’re one of those who are still waiting for their blessings, keep waiting. God knows what you desire; He has you in His plans, and He hears you each time you pray. He will come through for you.

Your blessing is on its way. In the meantime, keep the faith!
